Seawall Prophet is the alias of Aaron Markland, an Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter, Pacific Records Recording Artist, USAF Veteran, retired Albuquerque Firefighter, and Soul Surfer born and raised in San Diego, California [Ocean Beach]. Aaron's solo set consists of a wide variety of original and cover songs from timeless classics to modern hits (Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, James Brown, Chris Stapleton, Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and so much more). The dynamic live band performs original Jazz-Infused Beach Rock Reggae and consists of Aaron Markland (Vocals/Guitar) and several founding members of the Zzajj band; AJ Price (Bass), Chris Price (Guitar), and Big Steve Cunningham (Drums). Their EP “Off the Ledge” debuted on Pacific Records in December 2022, which quickly rose to #3 on the iTunes Reggae Charts behind Bob Marley and ahead of Stick Figure. The band is set to release 2 new singles in November 2023, followed by a US tour.
