International Singer, Pianist, Showman Marcel East is among the top echelon of performers in San Diego with a colorful career from singing with Mrs. Barbra Streisand & appearances on American Idol, to backing The Tonight Show’s legendary host Jay Leno & composing arrangements for Michael Jackson’s anniversary album. Marcel started his passion for music while watching his uncle, and bass legend, Nathan East perform with artists like Phil Collins, Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, Toto, and Eric Clapton. Following college, Marcel began his tour with Motown band The Steppen Stonz where he first got a taste of the world. This seasoned band was action packed and the perfect start to set the bar for Marcel’s performing standard. Along the way, Marcel’s talents were recognized and he was offered a position performing at Disneyland in California. The shows were the very definition of Disney Magic and shortly after some fun in the magic kingdom, the singer set his sights internationally and became one of the headlining acts in China, Russia, Qatar, Canada, Mexico, France, and Maldives (where he was featured on The Travel Channel & National Geographic). You can currently enjoy shows at his residency at Aria Casino & Resort, a lavish, ultra-modern upscale resort in the heart of the Las Vegas strip where he performs all of today’s hit songs. He can also be spotted regularly at Paris, The Mirage, Hard Rock, & Mandalay Bay, where he performs with Emmy-winning recording artist Patrick Sieben & the LVB. When the Vegas artist isn’t on his main stages, he can be found entertaining at beachside weddings in San Diego, or corporate events in Hawaii, New Zealand, & Miami with companies like Miller, HP, and NASCAR. Currently, Marcel is producing a high-energy super band and composing his debut pop album due to release summer 2020.
