Hi there! I'm Evan Diamond, a singer-songwriter based in San Diego. I play as a solo artist but I also play shows as a duo with my friend John Rankin (another GigTown Artist!) and also play venues with my amazing backing band, The Library. We recently played The Mint in LA and have upcoming shows at The Hotel Cafe and The Viper Room. I tour extensively throughout Southern California with gigs in San Diego, Riverside and LA County, averaging between 15 to 20 shows a month! My music spans a number of genres, most notably rock, pop and r&b which definitely makes my songs unique, and in addition to writing my own music, I also play a large number of covers from artists such The Beatles, Carole King, David Bowie, The Spice Girls, Fifth Harmony, Ed Sheeran, Christina Aguilera, Amy Whinehouse and The 1975. You can find a full list of my cover songs on my website epk page: evandiamondmusic.com/epk but keep in mind that list is always growing! One of the things I feature in my shows is my use of live looping! Check out my website, for video and audio examples of my work! My band and I are currently working on our first EP which will be available shortly! Donations are greatly appreciated and are accepted both through GigTown and my website. I play private parties, weddings, fundraisers and more so I hope you will consider me for your next event! Below is a partial list of venues I've performed at recently. John Lowery started his career as a singer-songwriter in Portland, Oregon back in the mid-nineties with his first band Hatful of Rain which he formed with Dramarama guitarist Mark Englert. At one time their drummer was Courtney Taylor-Taylor from The Dandy Warhols. His first album with Hatful of Rain got national distribution and radio play and received stellar reviews. Since 2000 John has released all solo albums - Fancy Car, I'm Going Home, Epiphany, and most recently Lucky Guy which along with Epiphany is available for sale on I-Tunes, Amazon, and CD Baby. John has played with some pretty big players over the years including Jeff Linsky (Jazz Virtuoso), John Smith (Grammy Award Producer from Nu Shooz), and Tony Snow (Drummer from Dramarama) to name a few. He currently resides in Oceanside, CA and continues to play shows as a solo artist in his own backyard in San Diego, LA, and Orange County frequently. John has also played shows internationally in Australia and most recently in Portugal. John plays mainly acoustic melodies with some electric guitar and backbeats with a laid-back feel. Some of his songs sound folksy and some sound rockish, with a little bit of blues & country from time to time. He performs regularly and not only performs songs that he has written, but also songs from such artists as Tom Petty, The Eagles, Rob Thomas, Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, Rod Stewart, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Garth Brooks, and many more. John is also available as a duo with another guitar player or piano player.

Christian's voice is fueled with passion and soul. With just an acoustic guitar and his voice, Christian Taylor is great for any private party, business event, wedding, restaurant or bar. Catch him as part of his duo, trio, or full band, and guests are sure to be drawn in immediately, and be thoroughly entertained with every song. Christian currently performs at some of San Diego's best live music spots, including Whiskey Girl, Old City Hall (used to be Florent), Herringbone, Searsucker, Loews Coronado Bay Resort, and many others. Playing some of his favorite covers from past decades to present, every song sounds as if though it were his own, putting as much passion and heart into singing them as if he had written them himself. Christian has performed at major charity fundraisers, local festivals, as well as SXSW in Austin, TX. Bio below. San Diego, CA native musician, and singer songwriter, Christian Taylor grew up surrounded by, and listening to all styles of music. Grandson of "Wipeout" drum legend, Mel Taylor, of surf rock band The Ventures, as well as grandson to the First Lady of Rock N Roll, Mary Kaye, who was the pioneer of the Las Vegas lounge act, you could say music is in his blood. Christian's father Jay Kaye was an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, and blues guitarist in his own right, finding his audience accross Europe, where Christian found himself as a young child watching a listening to him play. Christian didn't find his voice or musical style until later in life, after playing in all different styles of bands and projects as a young man. Christian experimented with folk, americana, and blues rock for a while, before he found a way to blend it all together with his love for classic soul music. His lyrics are stories filled with love, heartache, and hope. With simple guitar playing, he relies more on his soulful raspy voice, that he pushes as far as he can. The music is a throw back to 50’s 60’s soul and rock n roll, as well as blues and folk, packed with organs, saxophones, and a female back up singer that compliments Christian's vocals. Their live shows are full of energy, good vibes, and charisma, that continually keep the audiences dancing and entertained.
