Labeled by San Diego Troubadour as one of SD's "top local Americana artists," Carissa Schroeder is an award-winning songwriter and versatile Americana, blues, soul and rock singer. She has a way of taking you with her voice to the distant past -- somewhere down a dusty road in hot summertime shade. She takes modern songs and weaves a southern, soulful vibe through them, and does the classics with a love and respect for their roots. An old soul with a big voice, simply pairing Carissa with an acoustic guitar player will fill a room with a warm, rich sound, and soulful, good vibes. Influenced by The Allman Brothers Band, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Grace Potter and Patty Griffin, Schroeder has curated a song list that is unique and listenable. She is also one half of the songwriting team for the band Rosa's Cantina, a fellow Gig Town indie country band. Check them out at www.rosascantinatheband.com

Rebecca is a vocalist and has been involved with music her whole life. Growing up in a musical home and having generations of musicians in her family, she has been exposed to a vast assortment of artists, genres and styles. Her own mother was a professional jazz singer in Puerto Rico. With such influences, it seems a natural progression that Rebecca has followed in her footsteps. Rebecca has been described, by many, as having a chameleon-like quality to her voice, being able to deliver each song in a unique way. Yet, she has been blessed with a sound unlike anyone else. Music lovers express how her singing induces a genuine feeling within them, and many have stated that she has the ability to transfer the emotion of each song to her listeners. Rebecca can provide her own PA system, so all that is really required for her trio to perform is at least one or two standard 20 amp electrical outlets. Rebecca has been singing professionally since returning home from college. She has performed with the most sought-after musicians in San Diego and Los Angeles and at some of the best venues in Southern California and across the nation. Rebecca’s versatility has allowed her many unique opportunities to perform, to name a few: ~ Rebecca was a member of the House Band for Anthology, one of San Diego’s most popular and world-renowned live music venues, for over five years, until they closed their doors in 2013; She is one of the Sirens of Siren’s Crush, Southern California’s premiere Live event dance band who has opened for the likes of Boyz II Men, Erykah Badu, Vanilla Ice and the late Teena Marie (www.SirensCrush.com); She has performed with Mindi Abair and living legend Norman Connors, for John Maatta of the CW and UNICEF, for Rev. Jesse Jackson and his guests at the Rainbow PUSH Coalition, for Drew Brees and Marshall Faulk at their Celebrity Golf Tournaments, as well as private events for Michigan State’s Basketball coach Tom Izzo, NFL Charger Antonio Gates, Jenny Craig, and the USA Women’s Soccer team; She has done multiple concerts at Spaghettini, the Baked Potato, and the House of Blues (San Diego, Anaheim, Boston, Las Vegas); She has performed the National Anthem for many professional and collegiate athletic organizations; She’s entertained patrons at the San Diego Symphony; She also manages and is lead singer in her own R&B, soul, blues and funk variety band, called The Soultones (www.TheSoultonesLive.com)~ Rebecca has over 23 years of recording studio experience. She’s sung demos and background vocals on many different projects and has been featured in works, including an on-going project with Kevin Flournoy (piano player for Chaka Khan) and Kevin Dorsey (musical director for Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, among many others), and has recorded songs for catalog with Todd Carlon, pianist for Paul Anka. She also released her debut original music project, The Jade Element and opened for Grammy-nominated musical artist, Musiq Soulchild. She has released her sophomore album with her new band, Rebecca Jade and the Cold Fact, which earned them a 2014 San Diego Music Award. She’s started working on a new project, expected for release in the fall. Other upcoming projects, like one with San Diego producer Jaz “Hookmaster” Williams, and yet another with Detroit pianist/arranger/composer Kamau Kenyatta (whose work was prominent on the Grammy Award-winning album by Gregory Porter), are also coming soon. Rebecca is also an actor and model, having done a variety of work, such as a commercial for Pechanga Casino, an industrial video for Qualcomm, and featured as a singer in the film, “5 Hour Friends” (starring Tom Sizemore). Rebecca graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Theatre and Performance Studies and has earned her MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. She has also advanced her musical education by studying Jazz Theory and Classical Voice at Grossmont College, and is learning to play the drums.

Christian's voice is fueled with passion and soul. With just an acoustic guitar and his voice, Christian Taylor is great for any private party, business event, wedding, restaurant or bar. Catch him as part of his duo, trio, or full band, and guests are sure to be drawn in immediately, and be thoroughly entertained with every song. Christian currently performs at some of San Diego's best live music spots, including Whiskey Girl, Old City Hall (used to be Florent), Herringbone, Searsucker, Loews Coronado Bay Resort, and many others. Playing some of his favorite covers from past decades to present, every song sounds as if though it were his own, putting as much passion and heart into singing them as if he had written them himself. Christian has performed at major charity fundraisers, local festivals, as well as SXSW in Austin, TX. Bio below. San Diego, CA native musician, and singer songwriter, Christian Taylor grew up surrounded by, and listening to all styles of music. Grandson of "Wipeout" drum legend, Mel Taylor, of surf rock band The Ventures, as well as grandson to the First Lady of Rock N Roll, Mary Kaye, who was the pioneer of the Las Vegas lounge act, you could say music is in his blood. Christian's father Jay Kaye was an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, and blues guitarist in his own right, finding his audience accross Europe, where Christian found himself as a young child watching a listening to him play. Christian didn't find his voice or musical style until later in life, after playing in all different styles of bands and projects as a young man. Christian experimented with folk, americana, and blues rock for a while, before he found a way to blend it all together with his love for classic soul music. His lyrics are stories filled with love, heartache, and hope. With simple guitar playing, he relies more on his soulful raspy voice, that he pushes as far as he can. The music is a throw back to 50’s 60’s soul and rock n roll, as well as blues and folk, packed with organs, saxophones, and a female back up singer that compliments Christian's vocals. Their live shows are full of energy, good vibes, and charisma, that continually keep the audiences dancing and entertained.
