The transatlantic hip hop duo Wilson Miles consists of New Orleans rapper, Tony Wilson and London beat maker, Hector Miles. The duo began in December 2014, during a recording session in studio in London, England. The two then met in Harlem, NY where they set up a makeshift studio in a tiny apartment, and began recording what would become their debut project, The Golden Handshake EP.
The Golden Handshake, a soulful, boom bap inspired project, was released October 2016 to which it received glowing reviews. Highlighted by Wordplay Magazine as the November 2016 Amplify Artist of the Month, and featured on Wordplay’s annual indie artist compilation; Their lead single, "Handle Your Business," was featured as a top 5 music video in both the “City Pages” and “The Current." The follow up single, Everyday Diamonds made it's terrestrial radio debut on The Current (89.3 FM) and was even named Song of The Day on Friday, June 30th, 2017.
