Tish is an award-winning, nationally touring jazz vocalist, symphony pops soloist, arranger, composer and Artist-In-Residence. She performs as a headliner in solo vocal/piano cabaret shows (self-arranged), jazz combo shows at major performing arts centers, jazz festivals and jazz/cabaret series, big band shows and symphony shows, and is highly sought as a touring performer/teacher. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Jazz Studies from University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Ithaca College School of Music. A signed Blujazz recording artist, Tish performs and records regularly with music legend John Chiodini (guitar). A major force in vocal jazz performance and pedagogy, Dr. Oney won the Diane Warren Award and has been nominated on the first-round Grammy ballot three times. She has appeared as pops/jazz soloist with the Thornton Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphoria, The Williamsburg Symphonia and Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, and has performed as a jazz headliner at major performing arts centers and concert cabaret series nationwide for several years .
