These People Here

Fractured, nocturnal eloquence, and brooding guitar harmonies define this Seattle-based, post-rock quintet. Layering in dynamic rhythms, complex time signatures, and passionate melodies, These People Here create an atmosphere both haunting and hopeful.

Guitarists Rebecca Gutterman and Rian Turner initially bonded in late 2014, after discovering a mutual love for post-hardcore legends Rodan and intricate, interwoven guitar riffs. Aileen Paron, who played with Gutterman in the all-female Radiohead tribute band Pablo Honeys (voted Seattle Weekly’s “Best of Seattle: Cover Band” in 2014), brings her dreamy vocals, electronics, and heartbreaking poetics to the fold. Jen Fox’s bass and Thomas Edwards’ percussion provide intensity and interplay to punctuate a sprawling sonic landscape that will not disappoint.
