THE HOOK MASTER-Robbie Enfinger(Born Robert Wayne Brady) is a well rounded versatile singer songwriter musician that is one of Georgia's best kept secrets when it comes to writing songs that grab, touch and hook you. His voice is one to be reckoned with, and his bloodline goes back to Hank Williams Sr. on his grandmothers side (Mackie Williams Singleton -Hanks first cousin) His little behind hit the earth in Troy, Alabama. He started singing and playing in church as a child. His mother, a drummer had divorced and remarried again and they moved around a lot; 32 times before he was 18. From Alabama to Texas where someone gave him a Sears & Roebuck guitar. He spent many nights learning to play as he could already play piano from Church attendance. Over the years he learned to play many instruments by jamming in garage bands, singing and playing and winning talent shows, small band gigs, and at church services, then he moved to Georgia at 20 years old. He convinced his old band mate, guitarist Russell Smith from Slocomb, Alabama to move to Atlanta andl they started a band with Drummer John C. Donahue and Chris Poteat called Blade and their boss had a basement studio. The recordings began. He continued to play and sing out a lot on his own due to the multiple band attempts practicing at a storage wharehouse on the Flint river about 100 feet from where Burt Rynolds jumped that Trans-am across The Flint river in Smokey and The Bandit. The old broken bridge is still there today. He continued to write and record songs and play out as much as he could but he had a family and had to work a lot to support them working in construction. He was always lucky to surround himself with musicians that were much more talented than he was Like guitarist virtuoso Mark Perdicho and Steel guitar player Steve Geis(back up steel man for Travis Tritt.) He would say I always want to be the least talented person in the band as a joke. He was just being humble and thankful for those great musicians that helped him bring his songs to life on stage and in the studio. After many years he went into a musical silence as Mark Moved away and Steve got some big gigs. He was on his second marriage all this time. He continued to write songs but stopped playing out publicly and went into a musical low. He says now that he was hiding like Brian Wilson did. He and 2 work buddies Nathan Harper and Nathaniel (Nate dog) Stanhope started a band called Soul Chord. It was mostly an inspirational religious rock 'n' roll band with country metal blues and rock overtones from Robbie's writing abilities and the other 2 members past influences. As that band slowly faded for various reasons of life throughout the band he decided to just do it on his own again and started Recording more from his huge vault of song ideas; as most were completely written just not recorded. After a traumatic experience in his life he decided to start living again and he has many fans now that love him promote him and believe in him. His fans say he is better live than on the album. If you have a chance to see and hear him live or hear any of his songs, you will understand what I mean. So check out Robbie Enfinger. A voice to be reckoned with.
