Mr E B aka Mystery Be aka Miguel Emilio Balmaceda has played professionally for nearly four decades beginning with blues and rock cover bands in the late 1970's. After attending the Guitar Institute of Technology (now the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA) in 1984, he explored diverse genres such as jazz, ragtime, flamenco, and classical. Developing a keen interest in composing, he subsequently recorded the independently released San Miguel Project (Grammy nominee entry in 1998) and Spanish Blues CD’s consisting of electric and acoustic guitar instrumentals. Currently he is focused on singer-songwriting and recording a new album integrating new vocal styling’s with his instrumental work.
