Merlot Embargo sounds a bit like a prohibition-era speakeasy, but we're actually a band that performs regularly in the Southern California area. Scarlet and Geoff, a wife-and-husband team of working songwriters, also happen to throw a great party - and we bring that same love for music into every room we walk into. The result feels a little less like hired entertainment, and a little more like you just got lucky and your friends are really talented.

We play everything from intimate acoustic duo sets, to classy jazz vibes, to the big ol' whole enchilada band with a horn section, lights, and a subwoofer-equipped sound system.
