Mayila, an Ohio native, began her trek to stardom starring in many musical theater productions including The Wiz (Miss One), Grease (Eugene), and Hairspray (Little Inez) with various theater companies. She then moved to Washington, D.C. to make a name for herself.

She then attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. studying classical voice. Many doors were opened as a member of the Ellington Show Choir in which she was allotted the opportunity to perform with Patti LaBelle, Earth, Wind and Fire, Maroon 5, and also perform for President Obama, the First Lady, and VP Joe Biden. Mayila is a full time artist and her first EP, "The Movement 2.1" was released the Fall of 2015. Mayila, a dedicated and ambitious young artist is ready and eager to make her mark in the music industry.
