Matt Waters

Matt Waters is an alternative singer-songwriter from Whitestone, New York. His songs range from character studies of the contemporary city dwelling American, folk styled ballads inspired by current events, and intimate explorations of love. A writer of fiction with a degree from the New School, he attempts to meld the musical and literary realms through intense lyricism. He’s inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Mike Scott, and Nicole Atkins. As a guitar player he’s influenced by the progressions of John Lennon and George Harrison.
