From the time Mark Bittler picked out his first notes on the piano at 3 years old, music has never been far from his heart. Mark studied classical piano and organ as well as French horn. He started jazz studies and learned about rock and roll. Mark led his first band at age 14, became a church organist at 15, worked as an intern at a radio station at 15 (and interviewed Ray Charles!) and had his own radio show at 17. Mark has traveled the U.S performing in cities both large and small. He spent the last 10 years with one of the West Coast's top funk bands, Bump Kitchen. For the last 3 + years he also has hosted a weekly show on Funk Republic Radio (funkrepublic.com), Bittler’s ReGroovable World. Mark brings his soul and passion to every project that he is involved with. From classical to funk, composing or performing, Mark's dedication and sense of humor are readily apparent.
