I have been writing for 23 years and learning as I go from many mentors including NSAI, my co-writers and Songu.com on how to write the best songs competitively for the music industry. I have teamed up over the years with many prolific writers who have taught me so much about music, melody and lyric writing. On my journey of writing, I decided to become the singer of my own music and now have 3 original CDs I’ve released within a five year period. My fans paid for my music along with playing out and performing. I am proud of this accomplishment especially since I also hold down two part-time day jobs and raise my two boys. I now tour as Kim Yarson, my stage name, in two different bands. The Kim Yarson band serves my originals and Gyrl Band, a fun all girl band, does covers and originals.
