A singer, songwriter and performer from St. Petersburg, Florida, Khalea Lynee' has a certain passion for music that is evidenced through her live performances and skillfully expressed through her songwriting. Being influenced by legends such as Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Yolanda Adams and Chaka Khan, Khalea progressed through her childhood and teenage years with aspirations of performing on the same stages as her musical hero’s.

With grass roots in the church and the strict upbringing of her mother, a pastor, Khalea's Christian rearing and gospel influences helped mold her into the soulful artist she is today. Having what she describes as a "spiritual connection" to music makes singing, performing and writing much more than just a hobby. It’s a way of life. “No matter the genre of music I’m performing, I feel connected to the lyrics, the melody, the tempo, everything. I feel that music is a language in and of itself.”

Khalea Lynee’ has engulfed her entire life in music and has begun to make waves in Tampa Bay and surrounding areas through her gift. From childhood shower performances, to high school and college chorus participation, to recording with various artists and making her way onto various stages around the U.S., to now being the lead singer of Hott Mess Band (Tampa, FL). Not only is she pursuing music as a group effort with her band, but she also continues to write and perform her own original works. From the creation of her first song at the age of 11, to now pursuing opportunities on a much larger scale, Khalea states that she just wants to inspire others through the language of music. “I want to make timeless music that will transcend genres and generations, yet still be relevant to what’s going on in the lives of people.”
