Joanna Wallfisch

British singer-songwriter, Joanna Wallfisch, moved to New York in 2012. With already three albums on release, Joanna is a prolific songwriter and story teller, collaborating with musicians across the board of jazz, classical and pop. Critics have called her music “mesmerizing” (Jazzwise Magazine), with a “crystalline delivery” (Downbeat), “combining the intimate purview of a singer-songwriter with the technical liberties of a jazz improviser, crossing boarders and flouting rules with her clear eyed-poetry” (Boston Globe). When Joanna performs solo she bewitches audiences with her striking live vocal-looping, quirky ukulele and sombre piano playing, creating majestic soundscapes to accompany her intimate songs.
