Jesse Ray Smith is a soulful americana singer / songwriter, capable of engaging a room as a solo act with his acoustic guitar and harmonicas, with his awesome 4pc band (drums, bass, electric guitar) or any combination preferred. His previous SoCal band, The Pheromones, were nominated 2010 San Diego Music Award's Best Blues Rock Band and frequented clubs like The Belly Up Tavern, Winston's, 710 Beach Club, The Soda Bar, etc playing a classic rock infused original sound. This latest iteration follows much of the same style with an extensive cover catalog of classics and modern sing-alongs readily available, ranging from Bob Marley to The Eagles and The Lumineers. We threw an anniversary party last week for our boutique and while using gig town for the first time I was unsure of who to book with so many options! We found Jesse and knew right away he would be the perfect fit for our party. After his opening first song I had multiple party goers come up to me compliment how awesome he was and I knew I could relax because it was clear how much everyone was enjoying his music and sound. He played for 3 hours and was nothing but amazing for the entirety! His genre of songs was a great mix between upbeat and relaxed and even his own songs were some of my favorites!
