Gene Douglas is an Austin based Sinner-Songwriter who blends traditional American sounds and styles with a modern and inventive approach. His lyrics are edgy and honest, delivered in his powerful and strident voice which can alternately croon sweetly or thoroughly electrify. Gene walks Country Roads in the footsteps of giants like Lightnin’ Hopkins, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Jimmy Page, Woody Guthrie and Jeff Buckley. He has recently released his first record of solo material.
