La Buena Onda duo: We bring infectious grooves, latin rhythms and a fun, warm vibe to any show we perform. Our style is percussive, soulful and rhythmical. We LOVE to get a dance party going! We have a diverse, cover song repertoire ranging in style from Buena Vista Social Club to Marvin Gaye; Frank Sinatra to Michael Jackson; Sade to Erikah Badu; Manu Chau to Bob Marley. My original music is a blend of latin percussive soul, hip hop beats, warm silky vocals and good vibes! We love what we do and often freestyle, to mix things up. We feed off of YOU and deliver what you are after, with smiles and open hearts. I also sing in Spanish, Italian and some French.

Kimo Shim and I have been playing together in the San Diego music scene since 2013. I have been playing music professionally, and writing & performing my original music for over 15 years. I moved to San Diego from Florida in Feb. 2014 and have hit the ground running, making a name for myself, with Kimo's help, and enjoying the beautiful musical community of the west coast. His love of world beats, hip hop and hand percussion made him switch over to playing cajon and all things percussive in 2005. He's a master beat boxer, too so the skies the limit as far as rhythms!!

As a duo, we can play whatever gig you have in mind play weddings, house parties, wineries, restaurants, special events, yoga classes, outdoor music festivals/events, corporate events...whatever you are after. We both use loop pedals so can have a fuller sound or can keep it more simple and acoustic if need be.

We have a full PA, so we are self sufficient. Just need a source of power!
