Gabi Montoya is the vocal powerhouse, guitarist and songwriter behind the bands Taco Sauce (Tucson Weekly's 2018 Best Punk Band) and Juju Fontaine (Tucson Weekly's 2018 runner up for Best Rock Band). Gabi is known for her big voice, stylistic versatility and catchy songwriting. She has played almost every well-known stage in Tucson, including Club Congress, 191 Toole, and The Rialto, as well as a handful of Phoenix and Bisbee venues as well. Gabi has proved her ability to appeal to a variety of audiences and fans of various genres, having opened for internationally touring musical acts such as Zoso, Together PANGEA, and Frank Turner. She recently released the highly-anticipated debut EP, Original Hot, with her Chicana surf-punk garage-pop band, Taco Sauce. She injects unexpected soul, sass and swagger into every song she covers, making everything from Bob Dylan to Nirvana sound like it's her own. In addition to regularly playing gigs with both of her bands, Gabi is currently booking solo gigs for public and private events!
