With a taste for the unordinary and love of juxtaposition, Chrystel is a direct reflection of her music: omnipresent. This bleeds through her own unique style of music, mixed with a love for pensive lyrics. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah to immigrant Ivorian parents, Chrystel grew up surrounded by her family’s native West African sounds and culture, pop music, and a keen interest for poetry and mystery. She began writing songs at the age of 9, and began to perform when she was 12 years old. Chrystel has since relocated to Atlanta, Ga. Most recently she has just finished recording her upcoming EP 'RARE' and is also being asked to write for artists like Mary J. Blige and Rihanna.
