Charlie Imes brings a relaxed, easy-going energy, as well as his special brand of laid-back, jazzy beach folk rock, to every show. A quick wit and natural, in-the-moment performer, Charlie has a very comfortable rapport with his audiences, engaging and entertaining them as if they were sitting on his front deck at the beach. With a mixture of originals (as featured on his 2009 San Diego Music Award nominated Best American/Country album, On An Island), familiar covers and worthy deep cuts, Charlie isn't just another barroom singer. He spends most of his time touring, playing house concerts and clubs around the U.S., and currently only playing in San Diego for a few months per year. Whether at home or on the road, Charlie continues to bring his beach with him wherever he goes. As comfortable as your favorite T-shirt and shorts, Charlie's music is sunny weather for your ears.
