With childhood influences like Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar and Johnny Cash, you better believe that Brittany Collins writes some raw, blues-inspired and often angry songs that range from pure-rock to sultry and fun. Her debut album The Hitchhiker EP, which was self-produced and self-released in 2016 and partially funded by a grant from the Northwest Music Foundation, features songs inspired by brushes with alcoholism and depression, as well as recovery and redemption.
Only beginning her solo career in 2015, she hit the ground running with a host of shows in the Pacific Northwest, quickly working from playing solo coffeehouse shows, to packed performances at The Historic Everett Theater and Hellbent Brewing Company. In 2016 her live-performances were energized by the addition of her band The Bad Vibes, filled out by guitarist Dylan Welsh, bassist Evan Robertson, and drummer David Hoogkamer.
