I am a solo act performing self composed music and cover songs. I use loop pedals and have a small PA system that can accommodate rooms up to 100 people.
With my loop pedals I create soundscapes that enlarges the sonic picture and people tell me that the experience is both beautiful and thought provoking.
How about trying something new? Invite your friends to a midnight meal. I can play a set from 1 am to 2 am. You do what you want after that...
After all my music is best described as night music. Or red wine music.
