Aubrey Shamel

Aubrey Shamel is a twenty-one year-old singer-songwriter from Lewisville, NC who is best described as a mix of Adele and P!nk with hints of John Mayer. Her powerful, pure, soulful voice and unique writing style is a fusion of pop, r&b, and rock with tinges of folk. An accomplished guitarist, pianist, and bassist, Aubrey commands the stage as a seasoned performer, integrating vocals with dynamic musicianship. She has won several awards in North Carolina, placing first at fiddler’s conventions, voted Best of the Triad in 2011, and Best of Local Flavors for WBFJ radio in 2012. Aubrey’s early influences include Jo Dee Messina, the Dixie Chicks, Ella Fitzgerald, and more recently, Pink, Esperanza Spaulding, John Mayer and Rhonda Vincent. Aubrey moved to Nashville in 2013 to continue pursuing her career in music. She now performs and writes with some of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters, including Byron Hill, Pat and Pete Luboff, Ralph Murphy, and Matt Scullion, among others.
