Nearly every suburban singer-songwriter claims to have known what they wanted to do from a young age, but most don’t have actual footage of themselves practicing the craft on their seventh birthday (https://youtu.be/-btmOCG6YkY). Growing up in New Jersey, Amanda has always had a pathologically close relationship to music, with a particular taste for the punk rock sound and do-it-yourself attitude. Her own sound, leaning heavily on her soft yet distinctive vocals, perhaps only subtly reflects the punk influence. But the attitude is much more noticeable in the way she’s taking it upon herself to chase her dreams.

In December 2014, she got to be a guest player at the Stone Pony with the Bouncing Souls (one of her top two influences) during one of their Home for the Holidays shows (https://youtu.be/yNtD3SXrgCs). More recently, she brought her guitar along to the March 2016 Flogging Molly Cruise with the vague intention of playing music for as many people as possible. She ended up being invited to play multiple cruise cabin and private-island cabana gigs before ultimately culminating in performing an original song during Frank Turner’s (her other top influence) charity set for Love Hope Strength (https://youtu.be/seoaJDrbIeE).
Diligent about developing her songwriting craft, she has just wrapped up a year-long weekly song project, which she celebrated by throwing herself a live-streamed showcase party (https://youtu.be/9vgyeXPxo70).
Considering that her hard work in creating and seizing opportunities has already enabled all of this in little more than a year, it would perhaps not be wise to bet against her in her ultimate dream of becoming a wildly successful internationally touring artist. She is currently booking both traditional and non-traditional gigs in the New York City area and beyond.
