The South Pasadena Transit Authority

South Pasadena Transit Authority came about by a chance encounter with Stuart Blatt & Tim Hillman in the parking lot of South Pasadena Music Center and Conservatory one night back in 2008. As luck would have it, they shared their passion for the band, "Chicago", discussed the possibility of forming a band and then, of course, thought nothing more of it.

Later that year, Tim joined an adult concert band with other former high school band geeks and the light bulb went off. Here was the horn section!

So, on a fateful day in November of 2008, nine people got together and squeaked and squawked out some Chicago tunes and the band was born. And the rest, as they say, is history. We should mention, they sound pretty darned good now, too!
