As far as the day of the event is concerned, we like to have the following information:
- Where we are playing (address and directions to performance area).
- Is the event indoors or outdoors? Our instruments do not like direct sunlight.
- The parking situation
- Distance to the nearest electrical outlet
- Day of event contact individual cell phone number
We generally arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the event, unless we discuss otherwise.
After the completion of the performance, we collect our fee, and we're on our way! If you have any questions about this process, feel free to reach out to us.
FULL BIOGRAPHY:
The Bassett bros is a classical guitar duo whose music draws from their diverse musical influences ranging from classical music to rock and roll. In performances, they often create unique interpretations of concert hall classics, or classical versions of their favorite rock tunes.
The San Diego-based Bassett Bros. began playing guitar together in their early teens, originally debuting in the rock act Eradicate. Since then, the brothers have earned a BM in Classical Guitar Performance from San Diego State University and a MM in Guitar from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Sean is currently pursuing a DMA in Music Education from Boston University.
Active educators, Sean teaches music San Diego State University and Ian teaches music at Mesa College. Performance videos and tutorials of their work can be found on The Bassett Bros. YouTube channel. In their time off the twins enjoy cooking, surfing, the outdoors, and fitness. Their love for comic books is fueled by regular costumed appearances at Comic-Con!
