These guys are some serious fun! - Erin Obrien @ Little Tommie’s Tiki
From Gulfport, FL, the Muddy River Bottom Waders play old time folk, country-blues and bluegrass. Songwriter Patrick Liam Doyle leads the band on banjo and vocals, along with John Hoover on mandolin and father/son duo Scott and Hunter “The Kid” Fletcher on bass fiddle and guitar. At 14 years old, Hunter is a regular contestant in youth bluegrass guitar competitions at the concerts and festivals he and his dad visit. Together, the band’s mix of field recording folk, bluegrass and original songs make for an approachable sound with a neighborhood feel thanks to the addition of mandolin, harmonica or other instruments from whomever else is around. (They are our neighbors - after all! Gloria Holloway Tampa House Concerts.
