Acid Tongue is an American-bred garage band heavily influenced by AM-radio soul, folk and psychedelic rock. The band is composed of the four Manson Brothers, perverted in their youth by adolescent exposure to mind-altering substances and strange, spiritually-driven parenting techniques. After years of extensive traveling throughout the United States, as well as some experimental therapy in a Mexican yurt, the boys have united to produce their take on the music of their parents’ generation. Incorporating imagery of the afterlife, dream-states and drifter-culture, Acid Tongue seeks to enlighten listeners to their swingin, contemplative lifestyle.

Composer, guitarist and performer Michaud Savage is a working musician based in Seattle, WA. As a solo and ensemble guitarist, Michaud is comfortable working in a wide spectrum of musical styles, including but not limited to jazz, classical, tango, rock, blues, rhythm and blues, latin folkloric music, and whatever other musical frontiers he happens upon. As a composer, his work includes compositions for chamber ensembles, orchestra, electronics, Max/MSP, and performance art. In addition to solo performance, Michaud regular plays in a tango duo with Mirta Wymerszberg, is half of Duo Michma, leads The Ancient Present- a chamber orchestra performing new works- and is an auxilary member of Correo Aereo. In the past, he has served as musical director of the Tuesday Tease house band, was a regular guitarist for Bissou (focusing on French jazz and standards from the 1920’s-30’s). Over the years, he has had the honor and pleasure to work with Adam Tully, Ramiro Gallo, honey.moon.tree, Paintings for Animals, Justin Froese, Adra Boo, Beth Fleenor, Evan Flory-Barnes, Heather Bentley, Dawn Clement, the Seattle Rock Orchestra, Chicharra Tango, Ben Thomas, Matt Weiner , Dana Wen, Amy Denio, Okanamode SoulChilde, Brad Hawkins, Ahamefule J. Oluo, Wayne Horvitz, Jakob Pek, Ammon Swinbank, and many others. Michaud studied at the Cornish College of the Arts with Emily Doolittle, Jim Knapp, and Michael Nicolella. Michaud’s studies beyond Cornish include time at The Evergreen State College, where his studies with Terry Setter, Ben Kamen, Arun Chandra, and Sean Williams included an emphasis in Consciousness Studies and Music. Michaud’s relationship with music began early on, singing in a choir and later playing in a youth orchestra. With the help of his grandfather he began playing guitar when he was 11, and quickly adopted this as his main instrument. Throughout high school, Michaud played in the school jazz band on both bass and electric guitar. Towards the end of this time, he started playing with honey.moon.tree, as well as Paintings for Animals, deepening his roots into rock music and expanding it into more experimental territories. Shortly thereafter, Michaud began to develop his work with the classical guitar and moved to South America to pursue a study of music, specializing in folkloric and indigenous music. After a year of study, Michaud returned to the United States and continued on to form a series of bands and ensembles in the roles of composer, songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist. In addition to a full schedule of performances and his work as a guitarist and composer, Michaud is a music educator, teaching guitar, bass, piano, voice, music theory, and composition.

I play hammered dulcimer, guitar, and piano, and combine them with synth sounds, beats, and layered vocals to create a primarily folktronica pop style.

Sarah St. Albin is a singer, pianist, and songwriter based in Seattle, WA. At the piano, her ballads are reminiscent of the emotional and compositional complexity of Tori Amos and the intimate warmth of singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Joan Baez. Her first commercial release, Small Voice, has been described as blending "upbeat and sentimental pop" with "something dark-and-synthy." Think Fiona Apple meets Sara Bareilles, but Tori won't let go. Almost all of St. Albin's work builds from the piano. Sarah’s musical career began in childhood, while she was growing up on a farm to the northwest of Spokane, WA. She started by belting out Celine Dion songs to her chickens and singing along to Sarah McLachlan CDs while home alone. She wasn’t permitted to study music in early childhood, but her mother provided her with voice, piano, and guitar lessons starting at age fourteen. She began writing songs at age fifteen. Her first piano ballad was inspired by a local teenager who died tragically on a family vacation in Zimbabwe. Almost all of St. Albin’s early music focuses on painful relationships and loss. Sarah’s recording career began in her guitar teacher’s tiny studio in the mountains west of Spokane, WA, when she was sixteen. She completed two 3-track demos before graduating high school in 2005, and performed on Hollywood Boulevard during the Musician’s Institute’s first ever House Band Weekend in 2004. She released occasional singles during her undergraduate years at the University of Idaho (Moscow, ID), the University of Montana (Missoula, MT), and the University of Washington (Seattle, WA) – including self-produced “In the Garden” (2009) and “The Harvest of Moss” (2010). She began working on Small Voice with producer Robert Cheek (Band of Horses, Deftones, Tera Melos) in fall 2016, during her final year as a graduate student in English Literature at the University of Washington. Sarah’s study of Victorian literature, as well as her brief stint in the world of academia, offered valuable insight into the dilemma of speaking out while being actively silenced—a key theme in Small Voice. Since releasing Small Voice (2017) on her label, Desibelle Entertainment, Sarah has been preparing for her first tour - beginning with a string of Pacific Northwest benefit concerts. Her next single, "Impossible," will be out this summer!
