SGB/ Spencer Glenn
SGB is an Indie Soul band out of Seattle, WA. The band combines elements of soul, funk, and indie-rock to make a very eclectic, and smooth sound.
Spencer Glenn moved to Seattle in 2014, with a background of writing laid back music and love songs. Before calling the Northwest home, he released two EPs and two albums, shared bills with grammy winners and charted pop stars, and played throughout the US and countries such as Brazil and South Korea. Despite achieving some solo success, he was still looking for a different sound. Searching for a more soulful, upbeat sound, he eventually moved to Seattle, and met bassist Aaron Patterson, who most definitely brought the soul. From there, they met the remainder of the band at local Seattle jam nights. The rest of the band consists of drummer, Kyle Kirkpatrick, who has a background in funk, jazz, EDM, and everything in between, Art Borders, who specializes in soul music, and Andrew Malone, who’s lead guitar brings out the indie rock feel.
Driven by singer songwriter Spencer Glenn’s songs and tenor voice, the band takes the contemporary-structured tunes and puts each musician's individual spin on it, creating something unique that allows you to groove, dance, and once in awhile even lightly head bang.
