The story of how Golden Idols formed is not particularly remarkable: it was the musical equivalent of Tindr. What is remarkable, however, is how well they work together, how quickly they compose and perfect new material, how their high-energy stage performance gets the crowd moving, and how motivated they are to keep working, and keep playing. They may not have some sweet meet-cute story to tell the grand kids, but doesn’t mean they aren’t the cutest couple.

Lead singer Todd Clirehugh knew from an early age that he wanted to play in a rock and roll band. He spent several years singing and honing his guitar playing in various rock and roll bands in the Seattle/Tacoma area before finally founding The Thrill in 2013. We asked Todd if this current member line-up has always been the same. Says Clirehugh, “We have not. Fortunately/unfortunately, we’ve had to go round and round a few times with drums but we’ve got our guy now for sure. Of course, this is no disrespect to the previous guys, who we are still strong with…just had to get the right fit” It sounds like the right fit to us. The members have an organized cooperation that enables them to play as one. Clirehugh has a tremendous voice that he effortlessly uses to share the lyrics with the rest of us. Solid and full of life. He is also an amazing guitarist who brilliantly delivers some monster solos in his songs. When asked how long have each of the band members have been playing music, the guitar/vocalist replied, “Not long enough. It’s always a work in progress no matter if it’s with your own instrument, voice, playing in a band environment or trying out new drummers!” We asked what the band hopes listeners will get out of the music and Clirehugh states, “I was inspired by a few acts that didn’t care about the current trend. They played what they loved and had great taste in music. Sure enough, these bands were able to make noise by doing it their way, on their terms. That’s the idea with The Thrill. Someone, somewhere is gonna dig it and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.” The band has a great sound, sort of a mix between Foo Fighters, Foreigner and Oasis. Programmes is a Seattle-based two-piece instrumental band featuring former members of History and Kingsbury.

Mel Greatheart performs an wildly eclectic mix of blues, 1940's standards, contemporary covers and traditional music, with set lists to fit the venue and occasion. Her vocals have been described as powerful and haunting, staying in the mind long after her set has ended. Mel has recently performed at Art on 6th Ave, the Art Splash Festival, and area farmers markets. You can see Mel perform at the Ukulele Sing-a-long Circus every first Tuesday at the Studio 6 Ballroom in Tacoma, a public club that she started in 2015. Mel has a classical music background, and has performed in various capacities for over 16 years. She is a professional, keeping her performance dates, arriving on time, and performing for any audience as if it was a sell-out show.

Abby London started off performing songs for imaginary audiences when she was 5 years old growing up in North Idaho. She turned to her songs for guidance and support much like escaping into a favorite album beneath a pair of headphones. What Abby truly wanted most was to create a musical universe audiences could inhabit with her. Life hasn’t made it easy. She has been sidetracked with addictions, self-doubts, and physical ailments. A few years after moving to Seattle Abby found her healing path. While sitting in her van one day an otherworldly voice moved her to turn the radio dial to a talk radio station hosted by cutting edge doctors who helped her see health holistically. After getting sober in 2016 Abby began making her vision into reality. In November 2018, this culminated in a sold-out, self-produced show with costumes, props, baton, piano, guitar, prerecorded tracks she designed, and multimedia. Abby followed this up with ALL the COLORS June 2019 which was even more sensational. Abby’s music is mischievously honest, edgy, and full of humble pizzazz.
