The Treacherous French are an eclectic rock band hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. The songs they write are catchy yet complex, while staying true to their indie, blues, country, and alt-rock roots. All four members have played in various other bands in the past, from punk rock to folk rock to dance rock to Celtic jazz folk fusion, and this blend of styles and instrumentation is what makes The Treacherous French what it is. The lineup consists of a group of four multi-instrumentalists from differing backgrounds and who like to add differing sounds to the songs. There are three guys (Phil, Olivier, and Charlie) and a girl (Cara). Charlie plays guitar (electric and acoustic), harmonica, mandolin, and sings. Cara plays drums, assorted percussion, and sings. Phil plays bass (electric and upright), ukulele, and sings. Olivier plays accordion and other keyed instruments, and really anything else the rest of the band puts in front of him.

Hi ! I'm a long time San Francisco singer songwriter. I've toured around the country and have played in almost every live situation one can imagine, street fairs, house concerts, farmers markets, living rooms, garages parties, bars, restaurants, clubs, private parties, business conferences and the stage at the Fillmore. I'm willing to consider performing at any kind of live music setting. I am adaptable to needs of whatever space I may find myself in. I can engage with the public or set myself up for a nice night of background music. I perform a mix of originals and covers in a the rock pop/americana vein. I posses a really cool small multi-channel amp for guitar and vocals that's great for cafes and smaller rooms, a mid size P.A more for louder restaurants and a set of bigger speakers for larger rooms and outdoor situations. I can also add a drummer and/or bass player to most occasions.

Primarily we are a duo. That brings the best of acoustic blues, 60's folk rock and Americana originals. We grew up listening to and later to jamming with the original hipsters ( members of the Charlatans and Big Brother )

All original songs - solo acoustic guitar with powerful vocals. My music can be described as soulful and acoustic-blues inspired with catchy hooks that make you want to sing along. Some have compared my sound to Amos Lee, Ray LaMontagne, Eric Hutchinson, and Jack Johnson, to name a few.

Shelby Lanterman is a singer-songwriter from Napa, CA. Practically from the day she was born, her father exposed her to all forms of rock & roll and other types of popular music, and she was quickly inspired to sing and play music herself. At the age of 12 she picked up the guitar and signed up for the Garage Band 101 program at Napa School of Music, which helped her segue into playing her own shows. After honing her skills throughout her youth, then 16 year old Shelby began to write and perform her own music. Her performance credits include Hollywood’s Roxy Theater, the Bottle Rock Festival, Sweetwater Music Hall, the Uptown Theater, Silo’s and many more. Most recently, she gained notoriety for her acclaimed Emerging Artist Series of shows hosted at City Winery, featuring several up and coming Bay Area musicians she personally selected. In addition, Shelby has had the opportunity to open for Bob Mould and Hot Club of Cowtown, among many others. In the fall of 2014, Shelby attended Dark Horse Institute in the Nashville area. Shelby earned a degree in audio engineering, while also immersing herself in the music first atmosphere that is unique to Nashville. Here she was able to work with musicians from all over the country and develop her repertoire as a producer. This experience shaped her unique sound that encompasses the classic rock she grew up loving, and the "Nashville Sound" she was exposed to during her time studying at Dark Horse. Inspired by artists ranging from Johnny Cash to Nirvana, Shelby’s songwriting style blends the angst and energy of 90’s alt-rock/grunge with the sensibility of Americana and roots rock. With a wealth of her own material and a group of carefully selected covers, Shelby’s high energy performances will remind you why you fell in love with rock & roll in the first place.
