We can play smooth and light music in the background, or get funky and be the star of the show. Or anything in between. As a follow-up to their debut 2012 LP, San Diego trio The Shifty Eyed Dogs is giving another bold taste of their brand of blues-rock through their new self-titled EP. These seven tracks give a generous helping of bluesy riffs, soulful vocals, and story-telling lyrics. Scott Mathiasen, Peter Knochel, and Isaac White are able to produce a rich, broad sound from just the three of them, as each track manages to meld together piano and harmonica along with electric riffs, driving bass, and solid percussion. And though Mathiasen’s vocals don’t have the gravel or deep tone often found in true blues, they fit the Dogs’ sound perfectly and still bring an authentic soulfulness to each song. “Out the Door” opens the EP as a lead track should—simple singable chorus, dirty head-shaking guitar solos, and just the right amount of underlying organ to bathe it all in rootsy blues. “Borrowed Time” comes next and follows in the same vein, but slowing it down a little to really let the riffs and melody sink into your gut. “Heartbreaker” picks up the pace by adding some funk into the mix, followed by “Keep Myself from Crying,” the purest blues ballad on the record, a slow soulful lament. “She Said” and “Hard Case” bring back the rock, but aren’t all that memorable. The closing “Six Feet Down” is the perfect dark introspective encapsulation of the blues, complete with female harmonies. The band features the brilliant vocals and keyboards of classically-trained Kate Wilkie, skilled Lead Guitarist Jaime Lapid, charmingly cute Bass Player Larry Pisco and Denz Naz keeping it real on the rhythm guitar. ​ This band plays all around North County at clubs, wineries and casinos. My name is Leilani Kilgore, and I am a guitarist and vocalist from Southern California. Over the years, I have studied under accomplished and skilled musicians that have helped me achieve multi-genre experience as a guitarist/singer, including attending Berklee College of Music as a scholarship student. Now a regular performer in Southern California, both as a soloist and band leader, I continue to work as a professional musician and make a name for myself in the blues and rock genre. I am continuously inspired by musicians such as Jack White, Joe Bonamassa, Robben Ford, Gino Matteo, Chris Cain, Tom Waits, Son House, Jimmy Page, John Hiatt, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, John Scofield, B.B. King, Beth Hart, Etta James, Albert King, and others.

We've taken your favorite pop tunes and gypsified them. We're profoessional, with an old school look and feel, but we play modern music so everyone can sing along (quitely of course). We have our own small PA and some accent lights if needed.

Despite being skilled musicians with a seemingly refined technical style for the hard rock genre, WOLVES OF EDEN are actually animals underneath. The sweeping layers of synths, hard hitting guitar riffs, ominous vocals & strange chord progressions are all done in harmony with surgical precision but barely contain the rage & dark passion that is their true muse. As the name & logo both suggest, the band's main emotional narrative is about the duality of man. Not a good versus evil, but a power struggle between our animal nature of rage, passion, & often ugly truth & our need to be refined, logical, technological & manipulative. W.O.E. never choose a side but rather show how formidable the two can be if performed in perfect harmony.

At 48 years old, Steve first picked up an acoustic guitar in 2014 and promptly joined the Free Beer Band. Since learning his first note a few short years ago, Steve is now the rhythmic acoustic guitar for Free Beer and unofficial Manager. He enjoys playing every opportunity he gets and looks forward to the next opportunity perform live at your establishment.

Duo consisting of Acoustic guitar, Chris Isaak style vocals and drummer Brave Spirits is the folk brainchild of singer songwriter Ellis Bryant. Born in Nashville, Bryant spent his youth in rural Tennessee and Kentucky. At age 13 he was relocated to central Wyoming by his missionary parents where he stayed until graduating high school. Shortly thereafter Bryant made his home in Colorado, where he honed his performing arts skills and built a repertoire of western influenced guitar music. Teaming up with childhood friend and percussionist Brady Shaw they formed Brave Spirits and moved to southern California. Performing up to 3 hrs of original music with covers mixed in Covers include: Lost Cause - Beck House of the Rising Sun - The Animals Heart Shaped Box - Nirvana Unchained Melody - Righteous brothers Love Vigilantes - New Order Fade Out - Radiohead Hangman - Max hunter And many more!!
