What follows is a collection of songs about hope and love and optimism, interspersed with songs about fear, lament, guilt, and uncertainty. Nick Morrison is a PNW based upright bassist living in Portland Oregon, they can be heard accompanying Rob Scheps Quartet, Barra Brown Trio, and many others throughout the region. Drawing from influences ranging from Charlie Haden, Gary Peacock, and Ron Carter, Nick takes an active roll in any musical environment they take part of. Often Performing a repertoire of Free-Music-informed standards, Nick engages the music from an attitude of deep listening and artistic liberty, while still maintaining the responsibility of the traditional bassist.

Janie Kaiulani, will be known to the world as Jai. Born in Portland, OR. She is Japanese, Filipino and Hawaiian. The only child of a single mother Jai learned how to be independent from an early age. Moved to Baltimore, MD at the age of 19 for a "fresh start" to pursue a career in music production/engineering at Wrightway Studios. Her biggest passion and dream was always to become a singer. She grew up listing to Lauryn Hill, and Erykah Badu. Jai began rapping when she was 16. After rapping for fun on a school bus and began having "fans" in middle school/high school she took rapping more seriously. " I would perform during prom, winter formal and other high school events, where i’d rap a nicki minaj verse and all my classmates and random people from high school would form a circle around me, and basically scream and cheer me on". Jai was introduced to B-New Entertainment by a friend. " I hope to expand my creativity and possibly collab with other artists, who want this dream just as bad as i do". " I use to hate that I looked different from the other kids in school, because i was asian, but now I’m embracing it and happy to B original and different ". Jai love mixing singing in with rapping, as you can hear when she do a rap verse, she usually adds a little bit of harmonies or singing in it. Jai is currently working on her debut album. The first single off her album " Sip It Slow ", is a great hip hop and r/b song. There's no doubt that this artist will make her mark in the music industry.

Anyone who has seen The Macks know that no matter the gig, they bring the maximum amount of energy possible. From house shows to charity events to the Hawthorne Theatre and Oregon State's Battle of the Bands, The Macks will put everything they have into every show (Sam even passed out at the end of one of his shows when he performed with mono). With that energy, however, is a lot of skill as musicians, with instrumentals heavily rooted in blues music and precise yet warming harmonies and melodies that leave a listener whistling the tunes days after the show. While most of the band's recordings have been done DIY-style on Ben's laptop in his bonus room, the band just got out of a professional recording session and the to-be-named demo will be out in June with high anticipation from the group's tight and loyal group of followers. The band is still young, but the aspirations for the group are huge and the band does not waste an opportunity.
