Edith Crash
Born in Perpignan (France) during the eighties, singer-songwriter Edith Crash found herself in Spain during her late teenage years where she continued to hone her music sound into the symphonic blend of passionate music we hear today. She produced and released her first record in 2010. At that point her activity becomes frenetic, while her project gets solid with the same power the people perceive in her live shows where the artist performs as a one woman band. In 2014 New York-based artist Sokio remixed one of her song “Casser”. The remix is featured in the horror movie “Knock Knock” directed by Eli Roth and starring Keanu Reeves. Now based in Los Angeles, she recorded her last album “Partir” with the producer Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens Of The Stone Age, Mark Lanegan) at 11AD studio.
“Intense French blues exile Edith Crash”
The Guardian
“Produced by Alain Johannes, “Partir” is folk like Patti Smith folk and blues like PJ Harvey is blues. She performs as a one-woman band, so be prepared for a haunting, yet compelling, set.”
Buzzbands.la
“Alain Johannes’ stripped down production is pitch-perfect. Partir is relentlessly revealing, personal, and cathartic.”
Coachella Valley Weekly
“Fiercely passionate, Edith delivers raw, strong, & emotional songs sung in French, Spanish & English. A one woman band creating intense French blues, and melding the folk, punk & blues worlds for a truly one of a kind style. Siouxsie Sioux meets Kurt Cobain in Spain.”
Joshua Tree Music Festival
“Artiste enragée, elle dévoile à nu des démons qui tourbillonnent comme des papillons de nuit autour de chansons poignantes, magnifiquement produites et intenses. ”
