Born in the traditional, if traditionally obscure fashion, Misdirection front man Brent Curtis’ musical interests, and talents, have progressed well beyond blowing out amps in the family garage. Following a representative rock-star path, Brent’s initial foray was a punk project influenced by Blink 182, Green Day and many of the high-energy, extreme-volume bands of the day. Brent conveys his love for the craft in every story he weaves, nurtures and delivers. Clever lyrics and song titles augment a wealth of pure talent and genuine understanding of and appreciation for music. Brent maintains the same passion that drove him to pick up his first guitar, if he is perhaps a bit less compelled to smash it into kindling.

I am a Singer-Songwriter with a wide range of original music and covers. I usually play alone with my acoustic guitar and will bring a PA for my guitar and a vocal mic if needed. I am an acoustic folk/rock singer-songwriter with six years of gigging and touring experience. I have played to various sizes of audiences from Boston to Florida on my first East Coast tour and regularly gig throughout Los Angeles and Southern California. In addition to playing at bars, clubs, and coffee houses, I also perform both instrumental and vocal music for restaurants as well as for weddings, birthday parties, farmer's markets and charity events. I have two small amps, my own mic, stand, cables, a great keyboard and guitars. With my own gear I can play for crowds of about fifty to seventy-five people however if you have amplification I can play to however many people will be at your event.

Spanish-born vocalist and song-writer Debora Galan has performed on both coasts of the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, and Spain, covering a variety of genres including the Standards, Latin Jazz, R & B, Dance, and Adult Contemporary. Currently residing in San Diego, she performs frequently on the West Coast as a guest vocalist and with her own ensemble, Silk. The group features some of Southern California’s leading musicians and work in different configurations to accommodate budgets and space limitations. Growing up in Washington, D.C., Galan absorbed a range of popular musical influences, including Barbra Streisand, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, and Sade. Watching the Barbra Streisand movie, A Star is Born Galan was moved by how music played a powerful role in the character’s life and enabled her to cope with grief and loss. She learned every song on the soundtrack and realized then that singing was her destiny. Later she became familiar with jazz styles listening to Carmen McRae, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Billie Holiday. She still listens to them as well as contemporary artists like Melody Gardot, Sophie Millman, Robin Mackelle, Amy Winehouse, and Adele. A myriad of influences shaped her eclectic musical repertoire. “I go for a groovy vibe,” says Galan, who mixes traditional and Latin jazz with a smooth new sound and “whatever surprises I decide to add in.” A constant in the formula is her Latin fire, whether hot or smoldering.
