Drivin’ the Bus (DTB) is an all-star jam band formed in the warmth of sunny So California. Their repertoire and style are considerably diverse considering their musical roots and upbringing. DTB’s creative output equals that of the longevity of each members musical journey. One thing for sure, at every show they continue to push their performances higher and further. Jam on! There’s no denying that the band is a dedicated crew who have put in many hours of tireless effort to attain the skills and experience necessary to become an international sensation – but again, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Whether playing regional venues, festivals, county fairs, or private and corporate events, what keeps DTB interesting is not only the energy and vitality of their music and songwriting, but the fun in which it is delivered. One thing is certain, the band prides itself on their extended jams, which some claim sound “unique,” “clever,” and “filled with ripping guitar solos.” The sound of “The Bus” ranges from delicate and subtle – to explosive and hard-driving, like a Greyhound bus hurtling down Route 66! The band’s material covers the old and the new, from rock to jazz fusion, and even some Motown. Whether a cover tune, or an original, there’s guaranteed to be many an extended improvised jam that will get the crowd rocking, spinning, and out on the dance floor. From their humble beginnings, each player contributes to the whole. Craig Flecks’ guitar playing is the fuel that drives the bus (Clement Forrest, Giant Peach, Full Strength Funk Band, Sonic Art). His blistering solos often seem to channel the styles of some of the best-known rock legends. Craig’s childhood friend Ritchie Lipson, (Giant Peach) holds the bus together with interesting rhythmic guitar flourishes that nicely complement’s Craig’s fleet-fingered guitar work. The rhythm section is anchored by the energetic vibe and drumming work of Ryan Haugley (Deluxers, Diving for Earth) and the exceptional bass playing of Rich Schermerhorn, which combined are the engine that propels the bus. The keys, horns and vocals are anchored by Aaron Westfall (Pint Miners, Good Sons), and Pam Gallo who’s vocal talents keep the Bus humming. Together these friends create a musical collaboration that is much greater than the sum of their parts. Despite the fact that there does not seem to be an actual driver of this bus, the sounds of the road – the freeway jam, you might say – will be rumbling and rollin’ whenever Drivin’ the Bus pulls into your station. And, despite what the urban dictionary might have to say about “driving the bus”, the band does not feel constrained by this definition! So, rock ‘n roll on down the highway … and get on the bus! (Remember that seat belts must be worn at all times!)

As a solo acoustic act, James McGarvey is perfect for your festival, market, coffee shop, bar, or private party. Featuring songs from Peter Gabriel, Michael Jackson, and Lorde, James’ typical show will have songs from the ‘80s and ‘90s as well as contemporary tunes and original music. Generally, James plays a three-hour show, broken down into two 45 minute sets and one 60 minute set; however, additional time may be requested. James provides his own PA, with connections for both his guitar and microphone. With two nearly decades of performance experience, James brings exemplary talent and professionalism to each gig.

I play piano and sing -- I usually perform solo or as a duo, but I do have a full 6 piece band if you're looking for something upbeat. My original songs are currently on SiriusXM Radio - I perform about 170 + shows each year and I always strive to put on an amazing show. :) Though all artists are unique in their own right, people most often compare me to Adele, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson and Pink. Matt Miller is no stranger to electronic music. Since the ripe age of 13, Matt Miller has produced his own music, having learned from a friend whose dad had instruments for him to practice on. From then on, Matt Miller taught himself how to use different electronic sounds, leading to a successful career as a DJ and producer.

Hawaiian shirts, pineapples, catchy Indie-Rock melodies, a British accent and craigslist - all can be used when describing new Southern California based indie-alternative group Lad’s Holiday. The band formed in late 2015 when founding members Cody Seeger and Liam Wilkes met via the reliable world of Craigslist. The two had joined another band via Craigslist before realizing that project was heading in a different direction musically than desired. Liam and Cody settled on the band name, Lad’s Holiday, after Liam (a Manchester, England native) had used the phrase when describing what Americans may call a “guys trip” or “dudes weekend”. The name stuck and the theme of the band was born (Hawaiian shirts, pineapples, inflatable zebras, etc… you get the idea). Lad’s Holiday spent a few months writing and recording their 6-track debut EP tiled “THE EP”. THE EP was released in June of 2016. So far in 2016 Lad’s Holiday has played at Music Box, SOMA, 710 Beach Club, Sofar Sounds San Diego and is scheduled to play Dec. 12th at Soda Bar and Dec. 30th at Tin Roof San Diego. Look for the Indie rockers to put out their first full-length album in the beginning of 2017

Joe Rathburn turned pro in 1972 and hasn't looked back. With a world of experience on stages big and small from concerts to coffeehouses, opening for a diverse list of artists from glam rockers Kiss to folk icon Dave Van Ronk, headlining his own shows, to playing corporate events, Joe is ready for just about anything. Joe knows what to bring to the gig. With enough cover material in his head to do 8 four hour gigs without repeating a song, and enough strong original material to do 3 two hour shows, Joe will provide the right music for you, if he can't, he'll tell you. He's very particular about which gigs he accepts, and wants to make sure that his repertoire fits with what the client has in mind. He's mostly about playing the music that has spoken to him over the decades, not necessarily what's most popular. He's good at what he does, but he knows he's not for everyone, and he doesn't try to be. One thing Joe will tell you right up front: "If you're looking for an all night dance party band, you best look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you're looking for just plain good music, some of which can be danced to, all of which makes for a good listen, and can be enjoyed by a wide variety of age groups, I can help you out". As a solo or duo Joe is fully equipped with high end sound gear to cover up to 300 people without any extra charge. Anything from the trio on up may require extra sound and Joe's sound tech, which would require an additional fee.
