From Southern California, this Duo/Trio offers a wide range of Top 40, current and classic hits, with a unique jazz driven flare. Both Mike and Daniel are trained jazz musicians with a passion for all genres of music. It wasn't long after they met, they began to realize they both shared a love for jazz fusion bands like Snarky Puppy and the classic sounds of Jimi Hendrix and Billy Joel. They decided to form Double Take to perform the hit songs that made them fall in love with playing music. With the help of other musician friends, they are able to accomadate trio and quartet shows, when needed.

We are an indie-rock band that has been described as: This is some pretty swell lo-fi slacker-rock, and I can’t help but think that, had it been heard by the right ears around the time it was recorded (2005, according to the CD sleeve), it would’ve gotten both local and national attention. If they’re not together anymore, then I’m thinking some reunion gigs are in order.

Born and raised in the heart of Hollywood, Danica was introduced to jazz by mother of American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, Peisha McPhee, who helped hone and craft her singing skills. Peisha also introduced her to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan, allowing Danica to build a strong (and soulful) musical foundation.

Having started their gigging career supporting Mercury darlings Metronomy, Devon-based three-piece These Reigning Days have quickly established a reputation as a formidable live act.
