J2 is a duo consisting of Janet Hammer on vocals with Jay Berman on keyboards/piano and vocals who have been performing together for almost 10 years. Our rates apply to the first 2 hours and are reduced after that. We do club dates, private and corporate events, dances, concerts and can be expanded to a quartet if the booker requires. We are extremely versatile and can perform standards to dance music to jazz, to Great American Songbook shows, pop and rock 'n roll. We are both extremely experienced, professional, easy to work with, and look forward to hearing from any persons or venues in search of a fine vocal duo. I'm a singer-songwriter with a repertoire that includes both originals and covers. I play a multitude of instruments, with violin and guitar being my forte. In my solo acoustic shows, I often perform improv looping, layering acoustic guitar upon hand percussion, topped off with flourishing violin solos - all done in real-time. In this manner, I can cover performances ranging from half an hour to several hours. I can also perform my original music with a full band, and have played in this style at many local venues, such as the Salvation Alley stage the House of Blues and Lestat's in Normal Heights. I label my music a catchy mainstream sound with a classical twist. I try to keep myself as dynamic and versatile as possible, and love to share my passion of music with my audience. Gemeni is a female-fronted, twin sister pop/rock duo in Los Angeles, CA. Blending pop melodies with Broadway-style vocals, Gemeni is highly influenced by 80's and 90's pop/rock anthems and ballads. Inspired by musicians like Janis Joplin, Dave Grohl, and the Counting Crows, Grisafe’s music has a folk-rock feel with provocative lyrics, often incorporating additional styles such as reggae, blues and rap. She earned six Grammy pre-nominations for her 2012 album ATLANTIS, and in 2013 received the Chicago Music Award for “Best Rock Entertainer.” Grisafe has performed at the RedGorilla Fest and OUTlander Fest during SXSW and iconic venues such as Chicago’s Metro, Double Door, Cubby Bear and City Winery. Grisafe gained national attention for her performance of the National Anthem prior to taking the field at the 2013 IFAF Women’s World Championship gold medal game. The Huffington Post called her performance “…one of the most inspiring versions of the Star-Spangled Banner we’ve ever heard.” The unforgettable rendition is featured in two documentaries and was performed at the request of Illinois Governor, Pat Quinn, for the marriage equality bill signing. As a proud member of the LGBTQ community, Grisafe is in the process of recording her new album beginning with a new song, “Brand New Fairy Tale,” as a show of support for equal rights among all people in marriage. The single features Eric Himan, a national touring, award-winning singer-songwriter, who spent spring of 2014 opening tours for Leon Russell and then Ani DiFranco.

As a New England-born songwriter, Alec has honed his craft of illuminated musical storytelling. Whether his hands are on an acoustic guitar or a piano, his unique voice dances atop the melody, producing a comfortable blend of rock, pop, folk, and metal. From the light-hearted, comedic stylings of "The Vacuum Upstairs," to the softly emotional lullaby of "Little Girl," rounded out with the hauntingly disturbing musings of "Shallow Grave Road," Alec has an ability to inject various impassioned emotions into each song and performance. With influences ranging from Elton John and CCR, to Judas Priest and Pantera, he emits a voice that shatters windows to glass splinters while softly petting newborn kittens. The only thing as extensive as Alec's vocal range is his versatility, showing itself in a plethora of juxtaposing sounds and feelings brought fourth from the young man's mind. Camille Shrager

Camille Shrager has been writing and singing for as long as she can remember. She mainly writes on piano, but has recently added guitar and ukulele songs to her repertoire. Her greatest influences are Amy Winehouse, Sia, Tori Kelly, and Bruce Springsteen. Camille has been in Los Angeles at Occidental College since August and has been playing small gigs around campus while making appearances at the best open mics in the area - a regular on Sundays at Left Coast Wine Bar, Glendale. Camille's music is best described as soulful, stripped down pop with a touch of grit. Balancing power piano ballads, bluesy guitar, and soft acoustic love songs, her songs range from vocals runs to lyric heavy lines.

I am laid back, punctual, romantic, feel good, charming, deep, passionate, considerate, and loving - and that's what you will find in the music. I have a PA suitable for medium to small sized events.
