Hello everyone, my name is Mali and I am a jazz guitarist! I range anywhere from big band jazz, small group playing, and even solo jazz guitar. I’ve been playing jazz for about 6 years now, and am currently getting my degree in jazz studies. I would love to get the opportunity to play more! Big Bad Buffalo

Big Bad Buffalo members Jordan Krimston (guitar, vox), Silvio Damone (bass) and Alex Staninger (drums) were still in high school when they released their debut self-titled three-song EP in 2012. This hard working band earned regular air play on FM94/9 and 91X's local shows and attained positive reviews when they released their full length album, American, in April of 2014. The band is known for their support of the local music scene, are regulars at DIY space The Ché Café and have been fortunate to be tapped to open for a remarkably long list of national touring acts including; Drive Like Jehu, Hot Snakes, Joan of Arc, Into It Over It, TWIBP, A Great Big Pile Of Leaves, New Politics, 21 Pilots, The Struts, Weatherbox and Caravels.

The Shadow Heist

Members of The Shadow Heist have their roots in the LA music scene. Coming off projects with high-profile producers Rae Dileo, Ben Grosse, and Howard Benson as well as numerous TV show placements, guitarist Travis Tucker (of the band Curious) was eager to join longtime collaborator Eric Ediger (Cleaner, Engines of Aggression) in crafting a new collection of heavy, pop-influenced songs with complex keyboard arrangements, and penetrating lyrics. Harley Bird was a burgeoning singer/songwriter in his own right before initially joining the band on keyboards. He quickly proved himself a natural frontman however- someone who could offer a sultry voice to rest comfortably atop the band’s dense chord arrangements and perfectly complement the album’s impassioned lyrical compositions. Peter Tilley (bass) and Till Richter (drums) would complete the lineup in 2015.

The Hawaiian Band named Kauwili was created by Zenia Panao in 2007. The band leader, Zenia aka Z, is a music teacher, musician, songwriter and entertainer. She teaches the ukulele, guitar and piano to all ages and plays a variety of other percussion instruments. She performed with her former Hula dance group, Halau ‘O Pualani (closed May 2013) for approx. 20 years dancing Hula and 16 years playing Polynesian music. The Hawaiian definition of Kauwili is to mix or mingle. The concept of the name is for the band to play a variety of Hawaiian traditional and contemporary cover songs with a diverse mix of band members. We do not have to be Hawaiian, as long as we’re Hawaiian at heart. We also perform Hawaiian-style, traditional and contemporary Christmas songs. Kauwili originally consisted of five band members who play ukulele, guitar and bass guitar. Since the inception of the band, the band members range from one to seven musicians. Percussion was recently added to the band. We also perform with Hula and Tahitian dancers, by request only. Kauwili performed at many venues around San Diego County, mostly private parties, luaus and weddings. We traveled as far as Los Angeles and Long Beach to perform at weddings. We performed at fundraising events such as the SUP Chicks Stand Up for the Cure for breast cancer research and Rancho Penasquitos Town Council’s Holiday Mixer fundraising event for Voices for Children, Advocate for Foster Care. We enjoy bringing the Hawaiian Islands to you by sharing the Aloha Spirit through our music.

I am an ambient/folk musician based in Seattle, WA and tour regularly in cities along the west coast. I play acoustic guitar with some percussive elements. I play solo, as a duo, and also with a 3-10 piece band which may consist of strings, horns, percussion/drums, bass, keyboard, and electric guitar. On tour I will mostly be playing solo or as a duo.

As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, Shannon is also well versed in Latin music and enjoys performer Mexican ballads and Spanish pop music. As a singer-songwriter and performer, Shannon hopes to inspire and connect with her audience through the songs she sings and writes. Shannon has been performing professionally for six years and has played at a variety of venues and events since moving to San Diego, CA in 2017 from Chicago, Illinois.
