Laura Leighe
Laura Leighe is bold and brash, combining modern electro with vintage keys and brass, she’s created a fresh style of electro swing pop. The Oklahoma-bred Southern Belle is quickly becoming an in-demand pop starlet on both club and radio DJ’s playlists across the globe. Her breakout single, “Boys Just Wanna Have Fun,” has recently exploded on the UK dance-club scene; Going Top 5 on the Music Week Pop Dance Club Chart, as well as hitting #27 on Billboard’s Dance Club Chart the same week!
Since the release of new album “Swanky,” this blossoming starlet is now cashing in on a lifetime of hard work and patience. Two songs from the classically fresh "Swanky" album, "Cherry on Top" and "Howlin' at the Moon" were selected as finalists, i.e., top 12 out of 6,000 entries in the 2017 Unsigned Only Music Competition. You can also hear single, and boss babe anthem, "Back it Up" featured on Curves for Women.
Whether club, cocktail lounge, arena, event or festival, the singing, piano-playing, dancing front woman knows how to bring the party. Laura Leighe can adapt to any event's ambiance, needs and budget. She is well versed performing as small as a duo act, (drums/ keys), to as large as a 10 piece BIG Band with background vocals, dancers, and horn section! Laura tours the East and West Coasts, playing legendary venues such as Hollywood's Hotel Cafe, The Mint, Whiskey A GoGo, Viper Room, as well as arenas and theme parks nationwide, opening for bands like Neon Trees, Tiffany, Vince Gill, and Toby Keith, to name a few.
Now Leighe, fresh off the release of "Swanky," has her eyes set on the future. From touring Europe and the U.S., to releasing a slew of new and fresh swing, and vintage inspired singles. Like watching a classic film in technicolor, Laura Leighe is channeling sirens of the golden age with a whole new swagger.
