We are a hip hop/neo soul ensemble, with heavy jazz influences. We work with singers, rappers & spoken word lyricists. We are currently working on our first collaborative album, all while still being the most sought out indie backing band!

From homelessness to triumph, Virginia native TruthCity is the epitome of rags to riches. The rapper and songwriter moved to NYC 6 years ago with the dream of being able to do what he's always wanted in life. Sleeping on floors and couches, Truth worked two jobs to fund his debut album "The Prologue" and start his own local tour. Rebecca Perl aka PERL was born and raised in the tropical paradise we call Long Island, NY, a child of the eighties and nineties, Rebecca announced at age 13 that she would be a singer songwriter when she grew up. Born into a very musical family, googling "How To Play Guitar" was all she needed before running with her dream. The pop music radio of the late '90s carried a heavy dose of acoustic pop music, and Rebecca gravitated to that sound. This is where she first saw artists like John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Jewel and Michelle Branch perform live, which greatly influenced her musical tastes.

Inspired by artists such as Bruce Sprignsteen and Billy Joel, Joe Melillo has the type of song that makes him feel like a old close friend, even if you've never met him.

I'd be happy to help you set a nice mood for your event by providing the music. These are some of the formations that are available: Saxophone Solo Duo - Saxophone with Bass, Guitar or Piano Trio - Saxophone with Bass, Guitar / Piano / Drums Quartet - Saxophone with Bass, Drums, Guitar / Piano Bigger formations are also possible, for example with more horn or a vocalist. I'm a singer/songwriter from Greenwich Village in New York City. I've been writing original songs for about 10 years. I would describe my style as folk-acoustic-pop.
