Changing the vocabulary of pop music... Zac Elegy is an up-and-coming NC-native musician with an eclectic blend of styles and sounds. His music is experimental yet approachable, complex but catchy, always different but unmistakably passionate and energetic. A singer since he could talk, Zac has accrued a wealth of musical experience in choral and theatrical settings, with a more recent evolution towards a solo career as a singer-songwriter and dancer. In April, Zac curated, produced, directed, and headlined an 18-song tribute concert to his lifelong vocal idol, Mariah Carey, a seminal performing arts event in the Nashville, TN community that reached audiences as far away as Brazil and Russia. He has since continued with many performances and productions that have solidified his growing fanbase. Building off of this momentum, Zac will release his debut EP album, Rebel's Remorse, on July 18th, featuring five self-penned songs including his debut single, "HOOPS". Song-sirens Lauren Harding and Mallory Trunnell were veterans of intricate song-crafting and the bright lights of the stage on their own, but together, they discovered a shared talent for firecracker lyrics and glistening harmonies that became irresistible. The ladies penned a tune while participating in a songwriting challenge that sparked the notion to forge a Badass, Harmony-Laced, Folk/Rock driven, Americana Lady Duo. Thus: Crimson Calamity was born. With inspiration from artists like Brandi Carlile, The Civil Wars and Fleetwood Mac, Crimson Calamity infused their influences into the release of their first two EPs, 'All in the Cards' and 'Gypsy Heart.' The music Crimson Calamity is devoted to creating embodies both sultry rock and traditional country aspects. Fans of both genres will hear these attributes in every song the gals concoct. Calling Nashville home since 2002, Karleen Watt’s songwriting has been gaining recognition as the new ‘three chords and the truth.’ Splitting her time writing with some of Nashville’s most beloved hit songwriters and up and coming country artists, you can hear songs written or co-written by Karleen at nearly every music venue in Nashville, and many others around the country. Claiming Garth Brooks as her main musical inspiration, Karleen’s songs have a believability and honesty that will break through to the masses and have an impact on the hearts of those who truly love country music. You can find Karleen and her guitar around town and filling regular spots at the famed Bluebird Café.

Roger Jaeger’s reputation precedes him. While it’s easy to be captivated by this Oklahoma native’s smooth vocal tone and introspective original lyrics, it’s the combination of what you hear, and who Roger is as a person, that makes him a must-see. In 2005, Roger moved to India, where he ran away from monkeys, perfected a tasty cup of chai, and learned sitar from a 65-year-old woman, which has now bled its way into his modern Coldplay-esque sound. Roger’s third release, “Start Over,” strikes the perfect balance between the relatable commercial sounds of pop radio and some of the most out of the box, creative instrumentation Indie music has to offer. You can hear influences from One Republic, Jonny Lang, Foo Fighters, Sting, Gotye, and more. With the addition of the sitar an unexpected edge of cultural character is born.

I've been playing guitar for 6 years and singing my whole life. Music is really the only way that I am able to express myself. I have been doing auditions for The Voice but I haven't made it yet.

Monterrey Power Trio (MPT for short) is in fact a five member band from Huntsville Alabama that plays mainly rock and performs covers as well as originals for which an album was released in Fall '15. We have been a band for a little over three years and have been playing shows for two. MPT has performed numerous shows for non-profits, art festivals, private events, fraternities, and solo concerts. If needed, MPT can provide a PA system, mixer, and monitors, along with amps which can and have been successfully used to reach 200 people and are able to reach many more. MPT can also provide as much micing for amps drums and vocals as needed as well as lighting ranging from white/color cans for front lighting all the way to lasers and strobes for a full light show. Currently, the asking price for shows between an hour and three hours is a flat 300 dollars but can be discussed on an individual basis.

MELD's music is an eclectic soulful journey. Drawing inspiration from her two favorite genres, Progressive Jazz and Jam band music, she has created a unique fusion of musical elements. People have likened her performance to that of a "modern day" Janis Joplin meets Hiatus Kaiyote. In January of 2017, MELD released her debut EP "H.U.R.T." (Healing Under Rising Truth.) The 5-song work was produced by Matt Harris of Livetronica band, Zoogma, and can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Tidal, YouTube and more. Her single "Easy On The Game" received nods from Nylon Magazine, BTRToday, No Country for New Nashville, YabYum Arts, Syracuse New Times, and several other publications- ultimately landing the single on Hype Machine. The "H.U.R.T." remix album is set to be released in March 2018, with collaborations and remixes by Felice, SAER, Daniel Simmons, Spaceship Earth, Waterchild, and Batavia. In previous solo projects, MELD (Melanie Dewey,) has had the opportunity to share the stage with jam bands Zoogma, Papadosio, and Brothers Past.
