Forged out of copious amounts of fuzz and distortion, Bad Acting was formed in late 2015 with lead vocalist Luke Wallace, guitarist Austin Bryan, bassist Connor Naaden, and drummer Daniel Smith. In early 2016, Austin and Connor parted their ways from the band, and new bassist Matt Proctor joined, as well as Anthony Foglia on drums. Daniel switched over to guitar which is actually his first instrument.
In their time of existence, Bad Acting has curated their sound and fan base from playing iconic Nashville venues like The End, and others of the DIY nature in the Greater Nashville Area. The band derives their sound with the attitude and pace of punk, the primal authenticity of grunge, and the gnarly heavy tones metal. This sound is accompanied by an electric high energy live performance. As a concert goer of a Bad Acting show, expect high leaps, movements of reckless abandon, tight playing, thick humor, and something to break. That something that breaks could be a piece of their gear or even one of the members themselves.
The band released their debut EP "Worth Your While" in late 2016, and is currently working on their first full length record.
