Shaped by the sounds of Brussels and Paris, recording artist Irenka’s colorful music transcends borders and genres effortlessly. She fuses self-penned enchanting European melodies with warm smoky vocals in English and French. Her soulful voice, at times deep and sultry at times ethereal, gets easily compared to Annie Lennox, Gwen Stefani, Sade, and Enya, while her style of composing has been compared to the Beatles, Nine Inch Nails and Tori Amos.
Irenka left Europe in 2011 to launch her music career in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2014, she released her self-produced debut EP Wait 4 It…. Her song "Comme Si" topped MuseBoat Radio's charts for eight weeks at #1 through fan requests.
Irenka has played hundreds of shows across the country from Florida to California, Canada, and Belgium in well-known venues such as B.B.Kings and City Winery. A witty entertainer, her flair for singing American hits with a French accent is a constant crowd pleaser. In 2016, her song "Autumn" was placed in a movie. That same year, she performed with internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Regi Wooten, from the Wooten Brothers band.
In 2017, Irenka made live media appearances in musical shows in Tennessee and Kentucky and as a French speaking artist, she has been featured on Radio Canada and national French TV channel, France 2.
