January Grit met in New York City in the Autumn of 2017. Inspired by the city's rhythm and restlessness they began creating music together and gigging around the city. In January of 2018 the duo moved to Toronto, Canada. They toured the city, performed at multiple venues and were selected as winners of Toronto's Underground Sounds Competition with Universal Music Canada. In June, 2018 January Grit spent a month in Sydney, gigging across the city. Recently, their original song, "Sway," was featured in a Map of the Heart fragrance commercial directed by Jeff Darling. Inspired by artists such as Hozier, Jeff Buckley, Madeleine Peyroux, Nina Simone, and Etta James, January Grit brings forward a unique combination of jazz, indie, folk, and alternative. January Grit has since moved to Orange County, where they are performing live shows and finalizing their debut album, which will be available in January 2019! ABOUT US Backroads is a group of experienced musicians who enjoy playing the music they love and grew up with for as many people as they can. They are based in North County San Diego, but will travel to wherever the need for their music brings them. Beatles, Eagles, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Santana, Poco, Jason Aldean, America, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Willie Nelson, Allman Brothers, just to name a few are the artists they cover, with smooth vocal harmonies and sharp playing.

A Singer Songwriter hailing from Portland, OR Jake London has been a professional musician for over 10 years. He has toured locally and nationally and has played many notable stages throughout his career including the infamous Hotel Cafe, House of Blues and many more. Jake has written, recorded and released multiple albums, one being under a subsidiary of Sony Music. His music can be found on iTunes, Spotify and YouTube among many others. In 2015 Jake worked with grammy award winning producer Phil Allen (Adele, Pink) to record a side project under the moniker CITY OF NEON which can also be found on various outlets. Jake is a regular performer throughout Southern California and he draws his musical influence from many great artists of the past. Some of his favorites include: Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, John Mayer and many more. Jake’s vocal talent paired with years of guitar practice has gained him a loyal following and his passion for the craft of music is evident in every song he performs.

Born and raised in South Florida, Jordan Sherman brings a beach party to wherever he is performing in the country. Son of a musician, Sherman loves and plays all kinds of music from every era with a level of competency that is unmatched. Whether he’s on tour with his original band, Yeti Tactics, or playing a dive bar till 2am, energy and love of music is what always shines through. Fairly new to the Los Angeles area, Sherman has already accomplished a great deal and continues to perform upwards of 20 gigs a month.
