Craig Elkins, the former frontman for Huffamoose (Interscope) & Phila. ex-pat, lives in Southern California. His latest effort entitled "I Love You" was recorded with the help of Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello), Charlie Gillingham & Dave Immergluck (Counting Crows), Neil Larsen (Leonard Cohen), Marko Fox, Rynne Stump and Jason Karaban - to name (more than) a few.
"There isn't a more brutally honest songwriter in America" writes Andrew Ervin, author & music critic.
Craig's music career began in the 90s with the indie release of Huffamoose's eponymous debut album. That release was followed by an appearance on the main stage at Woodstock and a subsequent signing to Interscope Records. In 1998 Huffamoose released their major label debut "We've Been Had Again" on Interscope Records. The single from that record, "Wait," charted on Billboard at Modern Rock, AAA and college radio. Elkins appeared with his band on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" that same year. Soon after, the critically aclaimed documentary "Here Comes Huffamoose" was released. The movie, which depicts the rise and fall of Huffamoose, was called "one of the best rock movies of all time" by Cameron Crowe in a 2004 Premier Magazine Article.
Craig’s song "Everybody's Bitch," from his critically acclaimed 2008 release "O.L.D. –I Live in a World," was recently featured on the FX show "Sons of Anarchy." His songs have been placed on the television shows "Alias" and MTV's "Road Rules." His ballad "I Wanna Buy You A Ring" was featured in a National ad campaign for JC Penney.
