Formed outside of Providence, Rhode Island, and now currently based in Los Angeles, California, Runaway Saints (Johnny Gates, Jamie Jarbeau, Matty Scanlon) are truly an east coast meets west coast story. The first few years were spent rehearsing in garages, playing in local clubs, and touring around New England. The guys eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee, after getting in touch with Grammy Award winning producer, Nathan Chapman.
The Nashville years were a major learning experience for the guys, and led to signing a publishing deal with Warner Chappell. Ultimately, their hearts weren't in Nashville, and the guys were back in the van touring the country, and searching for something more. That something more was Los Angeles.
After relocating to LA, the band quickly got to work. The first summer was spent on tour with Rod Stewart, Jonny Lang, Secondhand Serenade, and Ryan Cabrera on multiple US runs. As soon as touring wrapped, the writing and recording process for their debut album, BLVDS, begun.
BLVDS is an album dedicated and embodied by the city that saved them, Los Angeles. BLVDS will be released early spring 2016. Be on the look out for Runaway Saints, touring in their van and trailer, in a city near you.
