Growing up in Iowa, Heather remembers being steeped in acoustic music, her dad playing Donovan, Pete Seeger, & Beatles songs. In college, poetic journal entries turned to songs when she picked up a friend’s guitar. Life led to an intensive year dive into music in Austin, TX. 157 open mics, a 5-song EP & a few years later, Heather now calls Austin home. Cassie Shankman is an Austin-based composer/orchestrator, pianist and DJ (Cass&Ra). As a composer and orchestrator, she has been recognized for her work with film, visual artists, chamber groups, wind ensembles, apps, musicals, and music therapy technology. My name is Ricardo and I am a local resident DJ at Above Ultra Lounge in famous Waikiki, Hawaii for about two years. The Wheelwrights are an acoustic Americana trio from Austin, Texas. Three songwriters, Seth Grueneberg, Anna Larson, and Jon-Michael Rogers, joined forces to create authentic and finely-crafted music, and forge their own path. A young group with an old soul, The Wheelwrights' sound drives the back roads of Texas, singing on a Sunday morning, making music with family. The Wheelwrights are in the midst of their "A Forest In Trees" project- releasing a single + original art piece each month of 2016, culminating in a full-length album in early 2017.
